I know that we don’t normally talk about Black men’s hair but I have had white women tell me that my hair is too short it makes me look too severe or too long (and I could never grow my hair long it’s too brittle) and looks unprofessional. Interestingly I’ve never had comments from white men.

We Black men don’t suffer anywhere near the challenges faced by Black women but we are challenged too.
