Let me share with you how close to the surface racism is, especially those who would call themselves “not racist”.

One of my former girlfriends introduced me to her parents. In the very short conversation her grandfather said to me “I once had a black Labrador called ‘n****r’”

This was said without flinching or awareness of how offensive what he said was to me, a Black man. 🤦🏾‍♂️
