I didn’t watch the match as I found it ironic that a largely white Argentinian team with a history of oppression of its Black and ethnic population was playing a largely Black French team. There was only one way it would go if France lost and we saw this when England lost to Italy in Euro 2020.

I purposefully did not look at any of the social media abuse of the Black players because I was so traumatised the last time.

Yes, Rebecca we need to dream of a world without racism. And we need to take action to see an end to racism for our children l, grandchildren and future generations.
