This happens too often to too many of us to be a coincidence.

As much as it grieves me to say so, going to the police was the right decision even though you had to brace yourself for the racism you knew you would expect to receive.

Sometimes we just need to smile, be polite and endure the experience. We know it’s not the same for our white partners and it’s not going to change overnight, maybe not even in our lifetime.
